(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Charges are pending against a woman who allegedly stabbed two people Thursday morning in the Garfield Ridge neighborhood and stole one of the victims' cars.

A 41-year-old woman told Chicago police she was walking to her Nissan Rogue near W 51st Street and Rutherford Avenue around 6:30 a.m. when a female approached her and then stabbed her in her chest and arm with a sharp object before stealing her SUV.

The victim was rushed to a hospital in critical condition.

The carjacker didn't get far – she ended up crashing into a parked car about half a mile away near 51st Street and Mulligan Avenue.

When a 30-year-old man heard the crash, he came over and that's when police say the carjacker got out and stabbed him in the back.

He was taken to a hospital in good condition, while the first victim was last listed in critical condition.

The carjacker was also taken to a hospital with minor injuries from the crash.
