For the first time in several years, the Chicago Cubs return to host the MLB Little League Classic.
MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred announced during Sunday’s game between the Milwaukee Brewers and Atlanta Braves that the Cubs will be taking on the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2027 Little League Classic.
The Cubs last played in 2019, where they beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 7-1.
The annual game is held in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Next year it will be held Thursday, August 19, a change from the usual Sunday schedule.
