CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Chicago police are investigating a disturbing robber in Wrigleyville that took place earlier this week.
Investigators said it happened on West Addison Street — just one-and-a-half blocks east of the CTA Addison Red Line station — a few hours after the Cubs defeated the Minnesota Twins at Wrigley Field.
A 30-year-old Wicker Park man was walking in the area when two men in a dark sedan forced him into their car. One of those men was armed with a gun, police said.
Authorities said the two then drove the man to several ATMs, where he was forced to withdraw cash. The victim was eventually dropped off without any physical injuries.
No arrests have been made.
