CHICAGO (WBBM Newsradio) – A Chicago man has been charged after police say an argument inside a South Loop business ended in gunfire that killed another man.

Souleymane Diallo, 33, was arrested Friday night after officers responded to a shooting in the 1300 block of South Michigan Avenue.

Investigators said Diallo, who works at the business, got into an argument with a 31-year-old man around 9:30 p.m. The two began fighting, and authorities allege Diallo pulled out a gun.

During a struggle over the weapon, it went off, striking the other man in the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Diallo, of the South Commons neighborhood, is charged with one felony count of first-degree murder and one felony count of aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon.

He is scheduled to appear at a detention hearing Monday at the Leighton Criminal Court Building.

Police said no further details were available.
