As the two-day spectacle wrapped up this past weekend, the future of the race remains unclear.
This summer marked the final of a three-year agreement to race in Chicago.
NASCAR has less than 90 days to request a contract extension with the City of Chicago.
Mayor Brandon Johnson says the conversations into bringing NASCAR back to Chicago will be collaborative.
"I think, overall, the event put Chicago on display. And anytime we can promote the city of Chicago, it's a good thing."
