(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Indiana State Police say they found something more than pungent cargo in a truck they inspected in Porter County.

The truck from California was carrying 18,000 pounds of minced garlic, according to the Indiana State Police.

So, inspectors wondered, what was that black case that was also part of the cargo?

State police arrived at the eastbound I-94 weigh station after they were called on Monday. Inside the truck they say they found — along with the garlic — about 110 pounds of cocaine.

The estimated street value of the cocaine was as high as $2 million, authorities said.

Two California men in their 30s were charged with possession of cocaine. Baljinder Singh, 37, and Gurwinder Singh were in the Porter County Jail.
