Cocktail of the Week: Poison Punch

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- As we inch closer to Halloween, I've got a gin punch that's easy to prepare in advance for those of you hosting spooky parties this month.

This week's Cocktail of the Week is called Poison Punch, and it is brought to us by our friends at Beefeater.


Beefeater is a quintessential London dry gin made with big juniper character and strong citrus notes. This is an authentic London dry for those that enjoy the real taste of gin. Beefeater is still made in London with founder Jame Burrough's original recipe of nine botanicals featuring bold juniper, zesty Seville orange, and lemon peel.

Now if you are making the Poison Punch for a group, I strongly recommend adding edible glitter, as it gives the cocktail a velvety look, adding to this show-stopping drink. But if you are just making it for yourself, then you can skip that step, if you choose.

So who's ready to mix things up?

Ingredients

• 2 parts Beefeater Gin
• 2 parts apple juice
• 2 parts cranberry juice
• 1 part grenadine
• 1/4 tsp edible glitter (upscale accordingly)

Directions

Step 1. Mix all the ingredients into a punch bowl and stir in the edible glitter
Step 2. Multiple the ingredients by the number of servings
Step 3. Add ice into glasses when serving or serve with dry ice in a punch bowl
