(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A Kentucky man is going to prison for the rest of his life for terrorizing and sexually assaulting a college student who had been home on spring break.
Justin Dalcollo, 37 has been sentenced to 101 years in prison. He has to serve 85 percent of that time. In March of 2019, he kidnapped at gunpoint a college student in the parking lot of the Bloomingdale Court Mall. He forced her to get money at an ATM and drove with her all over the suburbs and sexually assaulted her in a parking garage in Elgin.
He let the young woman go free at a train station and was arrested the next day. Prosecutors are praising the woman for her bravery by testifying against Dalcollo.
"He has most certainly earned every year of his one-hundred-and-one-year sentence," DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said in a prepared statement as reported by the Chicago Sun-Times.
