CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Police are looking for the vehicle used in a hit-and-run incident last week involving a young girl on Chicago's South Side.

Chicago police released images of the car driven by they believe the person who hit a nine-year-old girl last week. She suffered serious injuries.

She was crossing the street with two women at 95th and Paxton  in South Deering, a little after 8:30 p.m. on July 18 when an SUV ran a red light and hit her.

Police said the vehicle is a silver SUV with damage to the driver's side front end and side rear-view mirror.

It was last seen traveling north on Jeffrey Avenue.
