
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Four armed robberies were reported overnight on the Northwest Side.
They occurred between 10 p.m. and 3 a.m., according to police,
in North Center, Bucktown and Logan Square.
The first, around 10, happened at a business on the 2300 block of West Belmont. A man wearing a hoodie showed a gun and took money from the register.
The second incident happened at about midnight on the 2300 block of West Armitage. Police said three males, all armed with handguns, got out of a white Kia and robbed three men and a woman on the street.
Kias are often stolen and used in crimes.
One of the men was pistol-whipped but declined medical attention.
About 10 minutes later, a man wearing a hoodie pulled out a handgun at a business on the 2300 block of North Damen and took money from the register.
The last incident happened at about 3 a.m. at a business at Milwaukee and Armitage. There’s a Walgreens there.
Again, police said, three armed men got out of a white Kia. Two went inside and took money from registers while the third robbed two people in the parking lot.
