Chicago police searching for late night robbery crew responsible for 9 hold-ups this week

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Detectives are searching for the people who roamed the city late Monday night holding up at least nine people from Lakeview to Chinatown.

Police said the group of as many as six armed robbers used a white Nissan Rogue SUV with Florida license plates to get around. Over a two-and-a-half hour period, starting at 11:20 p.m., the three to five men and one woman stopped people at gunpoint and demanded their valuables. Among the places people were robbed, the 3200 block of North Broadway in Lakeview, 23rd and Wentworth in Chinatown, the 400 block of West Elm on the Near North Side, and 400 North Green in Greektown.

Police said the robbers wore black clothing and ski masks.
