CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Police are warning residents about a recent string of burglaries in Downtown Chicago.
The break-ins happened along the Mag Mile, near Hubbard and Franklin in River North and at a building near Jackson and Des Plaines in the West Loop.
At least four incidents were reported last week. Chicago Police said in each case, two men in their early 20's force their way into a front door using a pry tool during the afternoon.
They then ransack the apartment before running away on foot.
Residents are reminded to keep their garage doors secured and to immediately repair any broken windows, doors, or locks.
Anyone with information on the burglaries is asked to contact Area Three detectives.
