CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — After a security guard was shot and killed in Chicago's Chatham neighborhood last week, Chicago police have asked the public to help identify three individuals who are wanted in connection to the murder.
The shooting happened on Dec. 20 in the parking lot of the Chatham Village Square mall located on East 87th Street near South Cottage Grove Avenue, officials said.
It's believed that an argument between the offenders and the security guard, identified as Fontaine Harris, led to the shooting

Police said the 53-year-old Harris later died at University of Chicago Hospital.
Security footage released by the Chicago Police Department shows three individuals walking into a retail store. The trio are later shown taking several items from the front of the store and quickly getting out of the store.
The shooting itself is not included in the footage shared by Chicago police, but officials did share a still of a stolen vehicle believed to be connected to the crime.

The vehicle is a gray Nissan Maxima with the license plate CW 25426.
Anyone with information about the individuals was asked to call Area Two detectives at 312-747-8271.
