The Chicago Transit Authority is hosting a job fair on Saturday, July 23. They are looking for bus drivers and bus mechanic applicants. There are openings for both full and part-time opportunities.
The starting hourly wage for full-time bus drivers is $24.63, and after working for 46 months, workers can earn $37.90. Other employee benefits include medical insurance, free transit and pension/retirement plan options.
Candidates do not need a commercial driver's license (CDL) to apply, but must be 21 years-old, have a valid driver's license and a safe driving record. Applicants must also be available to work weekends, evenings and holidays. Additionally, all CTA employees must be COVID-19 vaccinated.
