Food Truck enthusiasts gathered at Daley Plaza for the third-annual Taco Throwdown.
Participants braved the heat to vote for their favorite taco truck at Daley Plaza Wednesday.
Naty's Taco Truck was recognized as the best with a people's choice award.
Naty's is co-owned by Veronica Hernandez, who says they put "soul and passion" in everything they do.
"This is just the beginning of so many more things for us," Hernandez said.
Ivan Capifali, Commissioner for the Chicago Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection, helped announce the winner.
"Behind every food truck, behind every coffee shop, behind every small business in our community is a person who decided to invest in Chicago and in themselves," the commissioner said.
Nearly a dozen trucks took part in the Taco Throwdown, part of the Chi Food Truck Fest, a beloved lunchtime event in its tenth season, running every Friday from May through October at Daley Plaza.
