CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A 19-year west suburban old man is being held without bond for a rash of armed robberies and a shooting on the North Side and during his bond hearing new information was revealed about the crime spree.

Over a five hour period earlier this month, Tyshon Brownlee is alleged to have pointed a gun at five people and robbed them, shooting and badly wounding 23-year old Dakotah Earley.

The 23-year old Earley's jaw is wired shut, the result of allegedly being shot by Brownlee, yet, when police showed him a photo lineup that included Brownlee, prosecutors said Earley circled Brownlee's picture and then gave a thumbs up. When asked if Brownlee had punched, stabbed, or shot him, Earley used his fingers to make a gun sign.

Prosecutors also said one of the people, who saw the shooting from a window near Webster and Wayne Avenues and who provided surveillance video of the shooting to police, was the first to rush to try to offer first aid to Earley.

Prosecutors said one of Brownlee's other alleged armed robbery victims had memorized the license plate number of the white BMW he and two others were in. Another victim didn't report being held up until she saw a story about Dakota Earley being shot the same night.

When police found the BMW the victim's work ID was inside. Prosecutors said another victim said Brownlee threatened to come back and shoot the victim if the smartphone passcode given to Brownlee didn't work.
