(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Former President Donald Trump will return to Chicago this month to deliver remarks to the Economic Club of Chicago.

The Republican presidential nominee's scheduled appearance at an Economic Club of Chicago luncheon is reportedly part of a string of visits to regional economic organizations by both candidates.

Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic nominee for president, outlined her economic agenda before the Economic Club of Pittsburgh last week.

Trump appeared before the Economic Club of New York almost one month ago, but his appearance there drew criticisms from some for being disjointed and not answering the questions he was asked.

This month, in Chicago, Trump will be questioned by Bloomberg Editor in Chief John Micklethwait.

The last time Trump was in Chicago was for his contentious appearance before the convention of the National Association of Black Journalists.

Officials with the Economic Club of Chicago said they have also reached out to Democratic nominee Vice President Kamala Harris. There's been no word on whether she has accepted the offer to speak.
