(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- The DuPage County Forest Preserve District is working on a plan to renovate another one of its three golf courses.
The plan is to renovate the moderately-priced golf course Maple Meadows in Wood Dale. Forest Preserve District Executive Advisor Ed Stevenson says the course has been part of the forest preserve district for about 30 years and needs an overhaul.
This will include re-working spacing between holes, drainage in the bunkers and an improved parking lot design.
“Good golf architecture will make the experience more fun for less skilled golfers and yet also simultaneously make it more challenging for better skilled golfers,” Stevenson said.
The project is estimated to cost about $12.5 million. There’ll be an open house at the golf course Oct. 25, and people can hear about and comment on the plans.
