Evanston Police have given the all-clear at the Whole Foods located on Church Street and Chicago Avenue.
Shortly after 12:15 p.m., Evanston police alerted the public that a threat had been made to a local business at the intersection of Church Street and Chicago Avenue, which law enforcement later confirmed to be a Whole Foods.
Police said an anonymous bomb threat was phoned into the grocery store. Employees and shoppers vacated, and the public was asked to avoid the area around the business as officers assessed the situation.
Despite law enforcement securing the area, police will continue to investigate.
The Cook County Bomb Squad is working with investigators in their attempt to trace the origin of the threat, Evanston PD said.
