CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Chicago Bears fans downtown are not hopeful after a controversial week for the team.

The Chicago Bears are dealing with a lot including an unhappy quarterback, the resignation of their defensive coordinator and a bad start to the season.

Howard Holiday is a bus driver and lifelong Chicago Bears fan. He's been watching the team for 69 years.

He said he's going to "mad watch" his team again this weekend and frustrated about being "let down" while rooting for the team.

"It's just unbelievable."

Another fan that WBBM met downtown said he is also keeping up with the controversy, but is not ready to jump ship yet and will continue to support quarterback Justin Fields and the team.

"Maybe you need to give them a little bit more time," he added. "Things might come together a little bit later. We wanna give them a little more time before we write them off."

The Bears take on the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday afternoon.
