(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — The FBI is looking for a downtown Chicago bank robber who has been changing "disguises" after his heists.
Gabrielle Szlenkier, a public affairs specialist for FBI Chicago says they need help finding a bank robber whom they've given a unique nickname.
FBI Chicago is looking for the "Bare-Chested Bandit."
He is a medium build, 5 foot, 6 inches to 5 foot, 7 inches, white man who has entered three separate banks along the Magnificent Mile. He's had increasing violent tendencies and seeking the funds and then running from the scene.
They call him the Bare-Chested Bandit because after one of his robberies, he's seen by a surveillance camera taking off his shirt to change disguises on CTA Red Line train.
The bare chested bandit robbed the Citibank at 180 North Michigan on Sept. 16 and again, on Sept. 19 and also robbed the Citibank at 100 North Michigan on Tuesday.
Anyone with information can contact the FBI's Chicago Field Office at (312) 421-6700 at tips can be submitted at tips.fbi.gov.
