(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A Chicago banker has been convicted of bribery charges for arranging $16 million in loans for Trump associate Paul Manafort, in exchange for getting a shot at a job with the Trump administration.

Treasury Secretary; Defense Department; ambassador; Secretary of the Army. Or undersecretary of the Army.

Federal prosecutors said Chicago banker Stephen Calk was open to all those jobs in the Trump White House. He allegedly made sure Manafort, a former Trump campaign manager, got the loans he wanted.

A jury in Manhattan convicted Calk — founder and chief executive of Federal Savings Bank — of financial institution bribery and conspiracy.

Testifying for the government was former Trump associate Anthony Scaramucci.

As it turned out, Calk did not get a job with the Trump administration.

His sentencing is set for Jan. 10.
