Severe storms, tornadoes, straight-line winds, and flooding slammed portions of Cook, Fulton, Henry, St. Clair, Washington, Will, and Winnebago counties July 13 through 16.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency is reaching out to renters and homeowners who may need assistance.
“The recovery effort and the FEMA’s addressing of it is an ongoing thing and has a life cycle. Right now, Nov. 19 is the end of the registration period. So, I encourage folks to not put it off, you know, do it as soon as it's possible,” said Troy York of the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
FEMA is offering a wide variety of help to homeowners and renters in Cook, Fulton, Henry, St. Clair, Washington, Will, and Winnebago counties.
