CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A business inspector for the state of Illinois has been fired after being caught on security video groping the owner of a doggy daycare business.
Jose Guillen was fired a week after CBS 2 aired video of his interaction with Leah Bindig, the owner of Aeslin Pup Hub doggy daycare businesses in Bucktown, Noble Square and Ukrainian Village. He's seen hugging and touching her inappropriately, she said and not for the first time.
"He's holding a clipboard as he's hugging me. And it's not signed off yet that we passed. So what do I do? What do I do? Tell him to stop?" a visibly shaken Bindig recounted.
She said at one point, Guillen asked for a picture of her in a bikini.
A line was being crossed, she said. And she said the inspector repeatedly told her he was the only inspector for businesses like hers in Cook County.
Guillen has been terminated and is now the defendant in a federal lawsuit along with the Illinois Department of Agriculture his former employer.
