CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Four former dancers at Rick's Cabaret — formerly VIP's — allege in the suit that management did nothing to prevent sexual assaults, unwanted touching and groping by customers.
They accused management of encouraging the behavior.
One woman said she was fired after she reported a customer who exposed himself. He was allowed to stay at the River North club, she said. Another said a customer bit her neck and shoulder and tried to sexually assault her.
The dancers also alleged age discrimination and said they were misclassified as independent contractors.
The suit said the women "suffered severe physical, psychological and emotional harm," and it mentions a similar lawsuit filed against a New York strip Club that resulted in a $15 million settlement.
The company called all of the claims false and said: "We do not tolerate any type of discrimination or misconduct."
