CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - There's another downtown shooting to report. The latest happened overnight and left four victims.
The shooting happened just after 1:30 a.m. at Ida B. Wells Drive and Wells Street. Police said a blue Dodge Durango was sitting at a red light when two men on the sidewalk began shooting at the vehicle. Three people inside the SUV and a woman crossing the street were shot.
Police said three of the victims were dropped off by the Durango at Stroger Hospital, including a man and a woman in critical condition.
The hit pedestrian was hospitalized in fair condition with a leg wound. Channel 7 reported, though, only two victims were dropped off at the hospital by the Durango and that state police found the critically wounded driver in Maywood.
