(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Naperville police launched a lengthy investigation after receiving several complaints about a home repair contractor.
Between November 2022 and May of this year, six residents told authorities they hired a "Salvador Fuertes" for various concrete projects that did not come to fruition.
Fuertes allegedly collected down payments but never actually did any work. He also falsely claimed to be a Lucas Landscaping employee.
Police later identified the contractor as Salvador Garcia of Romeoville.
The 34-year-old is now charged with multiple felony counts of theft and fraud.
