CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Summarizing this school year might be a Herculean task, but students at one north suburban high school are taking on the challenge in their yearbook.
The yearbook staff at Glenbrook South has made this year's theme "You Can't Make This Up".
Advisor Brenda Field finds it perfect for a group dealing with COVID, a polarizing presidential election, and racial tension.
She said her students recognize the historic nature of this year and plan to document it for generations to come.
While many seniors may want to get back to normal ASAP, photo editor Taylor Geltis said "might as well make an amazing book out of it and try to incorporate the normalness and the uniqueness of the situation".
The team has already pushed back release of the yearbook, called the Etruscan, to July to accommodate changes to the spring sports schedule and moved to a cloud-based server so all 115 students can work on it remotely.

Design editor Dina Saef said they're exploring different visuals to demonstrate the year's constant changes and they plan to put a timeline through the 400 plus page book.
Geltis said they're trying to stay flexible when so many activities at the school have been postponed, cancelled, or dramatically changed.
