It's just more last-minute magic by the Bears. Down one point in Minnesota with only enough time left for one last play.

"Now, it's on the foot of Cairo Santos ...to win it or lose it." FOX announcer Kevin Burkhardt explains, before bellowing a familiar finish, "The 'comeback kid' Chicago Bears do it again!"

Stunning the Vikings on Santos' 48-yard walk-off field goal, 19-17.

Santos goes 4 of 5 on field goals. Bouncing back from missing a 46-yard attempt that left the door open for the Vikings to rally in front, 17-16, with only 42 seconds left in the game.

"He's a high percentage field goal kicker anyway, so I've got a lot of confidence in him.  He's proven that over the course of the season.  And really, he's been doing this for a long time."  Head coach Ben Johnson says

"He doesn't let things (like) one miss phase him.  We know its high likelihood he'll make the next one.  He really kind of embodies what we are as a team- very resilient."

Santos may not be setting up for the winning kick, if not for Devin Duvernay's massive 56-yard kickoff return right after the Vikings seized the lead in the final minute.

"Honestly, I was just trying to get down the sideline and maximize the return." Duvernay says.

"Just put ourselves in great position to get some points to win the game."

After blowing the 13-point fourth quarter lead the Bears pull off their NFL-high fifth winning drive in the fourth quarter or overtime.

In games decided by two points or less they're 3-0.

They've won three-in-a-row by the skin of their teeth.  And Captured 7 of their last 8 games overall.

"I think the belief that we've grown within the locker room is what changed."   Quarterback Caleb Williams says.

"That's been the biggest thing throughout the season so far is the belief- that you have belief and you have the trust between each other and the guys and things like that- these moments don't seem too big.  They're a lot smaller. Everybody is a lot more focused, everybody is a lot more poised when something goes wrong."

Williams completes only 16 of 32 passes for 193 yards, no touchdowns, no interceptions, sacked twice. He scrambles for 26 yards avoiding a number of sacks.

D’Andre Swift adds 90 yards rushing.

The Bears defense plucks away two interceptions from rookie QB J.J. McCarthy, increasing its NFL-leading turnover margin to +16 (22 takeaways - six giveaways).

And they're shockingly alone in first place atop the NFC North division.  A half game above winning Green Bay.  One game better than losing Detroit.

When the (7-3) Bears host the (6-4) Steelers next Sunday at noon they may not have to deal with longtime nemesis, Aaron Rodgers.  The 41-year-old quarterback is dealing with a left wrist injury, reports say, is a slight fracture in his non-throwing hand.  Mason Rudolph fills in if Rodgers can't go.
