CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Republican President-Elect Donald Trump carried one ward in the overwhelmingly Democratic city of Chicago, but the results show he ran well in a few other areas, as well.

Vice President Kamala Harris ran strongest on Chicago's South Side.

In Ald. Anthony Beale's 9th Ward, Harris secured 92% of the vote, and neighboring wards — represented by Alderpersons Lamont Robinson, Desmon Yancy, William Hall, Greg Mitchell and Michelle Harris — handed the Harris-Walz ticket more than 90% of the vote.

Trump, though, won Northwest Side Ald. Anthony Napolitano's 41st Ward with 54% of the vote.

The Trump-Vance ticket got as close as 48% in Ald. Marty Quinn's 13th Ward and 46% in Ald. Nick Sposato’s 38th Ward.

Generally, though, Trump polled in the teens in Chicago, while Harris polled in the eighties.
