(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- An effort to ban e-cigarettes indoors in Illinois public places has moved forward in the state senate.
State Sen. Julie Morrison has proposed banning the use of e-cigs in indoor public places. This week, her bill made it through the Illinois Senate Executive Committee and now heads to the full Senate.
The head of the Respiratory Health Association applauds the measure, saying it would be an important step to keeping our workplaces free of toxins and carcinogens in secondhand smoke.
Sen.
Morrison was the legislator behind the law setting the minimum age to 21 for buying tobacco products.
