(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A 91-year-old woman fatally struck an employee at a Jiffy Lube Friday afternoon while pulling out of a service bay, police in northwest suburban McHenry said.
The woman accidentally accelerated her Jeep Liberty while exiting the garage when she struck the 29-year-old worker shortly after noon, police said.
The employee died later at Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital.
The woman was not injured and was released, pending an investigation by the McHenry County Regional Crash Assistance Team.
