(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Illinois State Police have announced that on Friday they took a Joliet man into custody who is now charged with multiple Class X Felonies related to a sexual assault.
Bail for Jairren William, 36 is set at $300,000. He is charged with Class x felonies Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault and Armed Violence. Other felonies include Aggravated Battery and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.
ISP said that their troopers had been responding to a rest area on westbound I-80 in Grundy County for a reported sexual assault. A female survivor had reported that a man had become violent with her and had attempted a sexual assault but she was able to escape.
However, ISP reports that the man allegedly sexually assaulted another female at the rest area. Both survivors were treated at an area hospital. William did have a gun on him when taken into custody.
