NAPERVILLE (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A juvenile has been charged in a shooting Tuesday afternoon in Naperville that put several schools on lockdown, though the search for a second suspect continues.
Naperville Police said it happened around 1:30 p.m. at a home in the 2500 block of Leach Drive. The two suspects, according to police, knew the victim, a 22-year-old man. They fought with him and then shot him in the leg.
The man was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
As a precaution, area schools, including nearby Clow Elementary, were placed on lockdown.
Police officers searched for the two. Authorities said a few hours after the shooting a juvenile suspect was found and taken into custody. He's now charged with aggravated robbery.
The second suspect has not been found.
Naperville Police are asking anyone with information to come forward. They are asked to call the Investigations Division at 630-548-2955.
