ROUND LAKE (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Two minors accused of making a bomb threat at a school in far north suburban Round Lake have been charged with a second threat.

They face felony charges of disorderly conduct. Round Lake Police said two juveniles intentionally called in a bomb threat to the nurse’s office at Magee Middle School at about 1 p.m. on Feb. 21.

The hour before,  police said, the pair used an app to call Round Lake Middle School in Round Lake Heights and said one of them was going to blow up the school.

Students and staff were safely evacuated while police and a bomb sniffing dog from Great Lakes Naval Station searched.

The District 116 superintendent told families they take all issues of safety seriously and will always conduct a thorough investigation.

The police department did not say if the juveniles were students at the affected schools.
