Laundromat shooting on West Side leaves 57-year-old man dead, police say

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A man was killed Saturday night after he was shot while inside of a West Side laundromat, Chicago police said.

Officials said someone entered Loads of Fun laundromat, located on Chicago Avenue near Cicero Avenue, shortly after 9 p.m.

The man, or boy, fired multiple shots at a 57-year-old man before fleeing the scene on foot, police said.

The victim was taken to West Suburban Hospital, where he died.

There was no word on a motive, and no one was in custody, officials said.
