CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO)— Whether you’re an expert Oenologist or you don’t know the difference between a Chardonnay and a Cabernet, everyone ages 21+ is welcome at Lincoln Park Wine Fest!
Lincoln Park Wine Fest returns Friday and Saturday, Oct. 8-9 to Jonquil Park, located at 1001 W. Wrightwood Ave. Wine and food pavilions will cover the park grounds selling top-of-the-line wine, food, and accoutrements. Sommeliers will be assisting wine experts and newbies alike in learning more about all things Oenology and Viticulture (or to help you learn what those words mean).

Those interested can become a wine connoisseur during one of the numerous two-hour tasting sessions held over the course of the weekend.
All attendees can enjoy a sample of 12 varietals of wine, in addition to access to the festival grounds and a commemorative tasting glass with a $40 general admission ticket. And those wanting to kick it up a notch can enjoy the full Wine Fest experience by upgrading to a $65 VIP ticket. A VIP ticket includes all the general admission perks and an extended tasting including samples of five additional specialty wines.

Additionally, guests can enjoy live music while they sip throughout the park. On Friday, The Beatelles will play at 7 p.m.; and on Saturday, Simply Sound plays at 2 p.m. and Bree & Liz go on at 6 p.m.
Lincoln Park Wine Fest takes place on Friday, Oct. 8 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 9 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. General admission tasting tickets including a commemorative wine glass start at $40, with VIP packages available.
