(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A man remains in critical condition after he was shot while on board a CTA Red Line in the South Loop Wednesday night.

The 31-year-old man was found walking out of a northbound train at the Cermak-China Stop with a gunshot wound to his neck, Chicago police said. First responders came on scene and the man told police he was shot by somebody on board the train as it was approaching the station, between 35th Street and Cermak, at around 7:20 p.m.

He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, and noted he was not being fully cooperative with the investigation, police said.

No one is in custody.
