The Golden Arches are coming to the 78.
The Chicago Fire’s new soccer stadium will be named McDonald’s Park.
It’s the first time the fast food giant is putting its name on a sports stadium in the US.
The team announced its $750M privately-funded stadium being built in the South Loop will have a permanent McDonald’s restaurant on site when it opens in 2028.
Chicago Fire FC Owner Joe Mansueto called McDonald’s “an iconic global brand with deep Chicago roots and shared values in supporting our community.”
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed but McDonald’s will help expand the team’s free youth soccer program in Chicago Public Schools.
