(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Aneta Marsek is facing five charges, including attempted murder after a shooting in her home near Wonder Lake.
According to the Northwest Herald, the 45-year-old is accused of critically injuring Daniel Marsek just after 11 a.m. on Thursday.
The current status of their relationship remains unclear, but the couple made national headlines in 2012 when Daniel had reported his then-estranged wife Aneta and their two children missing.
They were found one week later, unharmed, vacationing in the Wisconsin Dells.
In addition to attempted murder, Aneta has been charged with obstruction of justice after police said she falsely claimed she and Daniel were shot by an intruder.
