OAK PARK, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Police in Oak Park are investigating a carjacking that occurred Wednesday afternoon outside a middle school.
A woman was parked on Washington Boulevard outside Gwendolyn Brooks Middle School at about 3:20 p.m. waiting to pick up her child.
Two men got out of a black car and approached her. One of them had a gun and told the woman to get out of the car. She complied.
He jumped in and sped away-driving west on Washington Boulevard. The second man left in the black car the pair had come in. The woman was not hurt. She ran into the school and police were called.
