A new mural along the Red Line in Rogers Park is inspired by CTA riders and hopes to invigorate them.
Oscar Joyo has been painting the wall underneath the Red Line at the Jarvis Station since mid-September.
The piece he calls “On the Way” features 16 people, flowers native to the neighborhood and lots of bright colors.
At 265 feet, this is his largest mural by far.

His wife, Lexi Constantini, says it aims to capture everyday moments that are part of the eclectic journey of commuters.
She helped secure the grant to support it and some of the volunteers who helped work on it.
Joyo expects to finish painting and seal the project by November 16th.
