CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Months after a bystander was wounded in an Avondale shooting, Chicago police have released surveillance video and images in the hopes of catching those responsible.
It happened near Belmont and Central Park Avenues on Sept. 16, the day of Chicago's Mexican Independence Day Parade, according to CPD.
Surveillance footage shows two of the suspects carrying flags. Police have slowed the videos to point out tattoos on the right forearms of two out of the three men they're looking for.
Area Five detectives want help in identifying them.
The department said the men were armed and part of a running gun battle that wounded a bystander, who was trying to run away with their family.
Anyone with information has been asked to call police — but not to approach the suspects.
