A 20-year-old Northbrook man is dead after a driver rear-ended his bicycle in North Dakota on Sunday.
Police said that around 12:30 p.m., Timothy Wayne St. John was riding a Canyon road bike on Highway 20 about 10 miles north of Jamestown, North Dakota, when the accident occurred.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol said the driver of the truck did not yield to the bicycle, struck the rear tire, and pushed it into a ditch.
The driver left the scene but returned.
St. John was declared dead at the scene of the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
