(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Authorities in Northwest Indiana asking for the public's help in finding those responsible for damaging some fences.

On Saturday, police say vinyl fences were destroyed in St John's Schilton Hills, Northcote, Columbia and East Oakridge neighborhoods. The incidents resulted in thousands of dollars in damage.

Police suspect it's part of a social media called the TikTok Kool Aid-Man Challenge where people break through fences similar to the Kool Aid mascot who crashes through walls.

St. John Police asked residents to check security cameras for any suspicious persons, vehicles or activity. Anyone who finds anything suspicious is asked to call them at 219-365-6032.
