CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — With resurfacing work scheduled to begin along part of southbound DuSable Lake Shore Drive, Chicago transportation officials have warned drivers to expect lots of lane closures starting Monday.
The Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) said its crews will be resurfacing southbound DuSable Lake Shore Drive from Roosevelt Road to 31st Street for two weeks.
The work will require three lanes to be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Officials said one lane will be closed from 4 p.m. to 9 a.m.
CDOT said the work is expected to wrap up on May 6, after which crews will begin working on the northbound lanes.
