BURR RIDGE (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Burr Ridge Police have provided an update on the workplace shooting Tuesday afternoon that left two dead, including the gunman, and one wounded.

31-year-old Jeremy Spicer, from Pine Bluff, Arkansas, according to Burr Ridge Deputy Police Chief Marc Loftus, was an over-the-road trucker and was about to be fired by Winner’s Freight.

Loftus says he walked into the office and shot and killed his boss, 30-year-old Nicola Misovic and then went to the office of another trucking company, where he previously worked and shot and wounded a female employee. She is in stable condition.

Loftus said he went to a third former employer’s office in the same complex. However, the owner was not in or he may have been shot as well.

“The first one where Nicola (Misovic) was shot is his most recent employer. He worked for them for about a week,” claimed the chief. “He delivered one load, there was a disagreement about whether he wanted to do another one so the company was going to fire him,” added Loftus.

Loftus said he ran off after the shootings and asked people in a business about a mile away if he could use their bathroom. He stayed for 20 minutes and the police were called.

Spicer, according to Loftus, took his own life just after an officer pulled into the parking lot.
