Police said the incident occurred shortly before midnight in Old Town, at a business on Wells and North Avenue. A man in his late 20s came into the store, began arguing with a 26-year-old male employee who he knew and then pulled out a gun. The worker then showed a gun of his own, and the two exchanged gunfire.

The 26-year-old man experienced a graze wound to the chest and refused medical attention at the scene.

The suspect suffered gunshot wounds to the chest, head and abdomen and took himself to Northwest Memorial Hospital. He’s listed in critical condition, police said.
