(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Police have issued a warning following a string of robberies on Chicago's Northwest Side.
At least four burglaries or carjackings were reported Dec. 26 in the Hermosa and Belmont Gardens neighborhoods.
Within an hour, Chicago police say two homes were broken into and two cars were stolen by a single suspect.
He was seen wearing a dark blue ski mask, blue sweatshirt and gray sweatpants.
In some cases, the man entered a home through an unlocked door, implied he had a gun and stole various items.
In other instances, he forced a driver from their vehicle and stole a parked car that was left running.
Police remind people that if they are the victim of a robbery, they should call 911 and stay on scene if possible.
