CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- A favorite Chicago fast food chain is celebrating a big anniversary.

Outgoing Mayor Lightfoot has declared it Portillo's day. The celebration falls on Portillo's 60th anniversary, which is Wednesday. Fans can go into a Portillo's to enter the restaurant's birthday sweepstakes if they win.

They get free Portillo's for a year. The company is also bringing its dog house on the road. That's the original hotdog stand that opened in 1963. They'll take it on a 10 step tour across the city and suburbs.

Fans will have a chance to win some free merchandise and also eat some of their favorite Portillo's items. The first ten fans at each stop on the dog house get a free piece of the chain's legendary chocolate cake.
